ARVI’s current production model robot is it’s M-10. As with all previous robots, the M-10 employs proprietary variable vacuum technology to glide in any orientation over any relatively smooth surface utilizing an external vacuum source connected to the robot by a lightweight air hose.

The M-10 utilizes six vacuum cups and two independent drive trains attached to its chassis. Depending on its propulsion system, the M-10 weighs 10 to 13 pounds. It has an 18” by 20” chassis, can carry tools that weigh up to 15 pounds, cross vertical barriers of 0.25” and gaps in the surface of up to several inches, and move at up to 100 feet per minute.

The M-10 can be configured to carry a variety of end effectors, including nondestructive inspection sensors, sanders, paint stripping tools, painting heads, and window washing devices. It can be constructed with various drive systems and vacuum cup configurations depending on the requirements. In one configuration, the robot is equipped with air motors and can be certified to operate in an explosive environment. Click here for videos of M-10.
